# Invite staff to Klayo
## Add a new staff member to your organization and send them an invite, with or without enrolling them in a course.

### Before you start
You'll need Training Manager permissions. You invite staff from the same screen you use to enrol them, so you can do both in one go or just create the student now and enrol them later.

Creating a student adds them to your organization straight away. You don't need to enrol them in a course to invite them, but you can enrol them right away.
### Invite a staff member
1. In the left menu, select **Manage**, then **Training**.
2. Select the **Students** tab.
3. Select **Enrol students**.
4. If you want to enrol the student in a course now, select it under **Courses**. To invite them without enrolling them in anything yet, leave **Courses** empty.
5. Under **Students**, select the dropdown. You'll see your existing students.
6. Select **Create**.
7. Enter the student's **First name**, **Last name**, and **Email address**.
8. Select **Create student**.
The new student is added to your organization immediately and an email invite is sent to them automatically. They can activate their account from that email, but you don't have to wait for that to enrol them.
Once created, they appear in the **Students** dropdown right away and you can select them for a course.
If you enrolled them in a course and paid with a prepaid balance, the enrolment is applied automatically and the course is available in their account right away. If you purchased separately, it becomes available once our team processes the payment, within 24 to 48 hours.
